| Wilderness, wildlife and sealife diversity in Texas is a gift beyond measure. The beauty of our state's wilderness areas should be a natural heritage for all Texans. Our success as a species is based on the ability to utilize biological diversity for food, clothing, medicine, and shelter. The destruction of any one component of the web of nature can have profound implications for all the rest. We are a dependent part of nature, not removed from it. Wilderness is essential for the survival of all species, including us. |
